I was very happy to find a show that satisfied me much like LOst had.

I hope you consider writing about the show regularly when it returns for its final 8 episodes!

notWaltnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-26412800.post-69455240246086274052012-09-01T17:04:57.228-05:002012-09-01T17:04:57.228-05:00Love this show too - found it "after LOST&quo...Love this show too - found it "after LOST" and have been totally hooked! I'm with you on the argument in favor of Mike's granddaughter getting the cash.............I'm afraid that Walter Jr. is going to get hooked on Meth and since he is somewhat removed from his parents and that will just kill me. I love the comedic moments as well as the drama - glad to hear you got hooked too!Marhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12057467272347146584noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-26412800.post-30412180469712412672012-09-01T16:11:40.132-05:002012-09-01T16:11:40.132-05:00One thing I regret is how I missed predicting who ...One thing I regret is how I missed predicting who Jacob's replacement would be on LOST.

Had I bothered to step back from all the details and simply ask myself "what's the overall theme of this show?" I would have realized it had to be Hurley.

Ultimately the show was about sacrifice, about being okay with NOT getting what you want in this life. And, since Hurley clearly didn't want to be in charge of anything, he was the only possibility for the new leader.

Not intending to make that mistake twice, I asked myself what the theme of Breaking Bad is. I think it's ultimately about the dark side of human nature, how it's always there in the background, waiting for its chance to become the boss.

The easiest way for it to do so, IMO, is to clothe itself in a mask of good intention, to disguise itself as an angel of light.

That's what has happened inside of Walt over the whole series. And that can only lead to one end for him. It won't be a pleasant one. Whether he dies, goes to prison, or spends the rest of his life in sorrow and regret, things will suck in a big way for the man who would be king.Billhttp://www.leavingtheflock.comnoreply@blogger.com
