The Final Twilight Trailer is Online...

Here you go:

You're welcome!

Three things:

1. I was planning on seeing this movie no matter how bad it looked.
2. It looks pretty damn bad.
3. The peeps playing Edward and Bella seem to be the weakest links in the cast!

Sigh. If this movie had been in different hands, it could've been awesome. But I'm pretty sure it's going to be a huge disappointment.

Hi e,
Your link doesn't seem to be working, here's where I found the trailer though:

I am also looking forward to the movie, I'm only on the 2nd book so far but am really enjoying the story. Although it's not Anne Rice, it's a good diversion from everyday life. I think you're being a bit harsh on the movie though. Remember the book was written for young girls so the movie has to follow that same target demographic (young hot actors like those in Gossip Girl and 90210). From everything I've read Stephenie has total approval over the movie and she has said she is thrilled with the characters and how it's all turned out, so I'm still hoping for the best. Besides, how can you not be happy to see Cedric?

Well that's just my opinion, I'll reserve judgement until I actually see the movie. And if it does suck I'll be back to say you were right!

OK, I put in another video that seems to be working for the moment... thanks for the heads up... they may be pulling them off of YouTube for a while, I'm not sure...

I really don't think I'm being too harsh on the movie... I could deal with if it just looked cheesy because it was sticking closely to the love story in the book, but that doesn't excuse bad acting. And I think having Meyer so closely involved with the movie was a big mistake... the movie HAS to appeal to people who didn't read the book or it's not going to do well. So right now it looks like they were originally trying to stick to the book and then tacked on action scenes and a "cool" soundtrack to get the males interested.

I linked to the very interesting article about the marketing plan for the movie in my redblog post here:

But don't get me wrong, I AM happy to see Cedric/Edward, but I just think his acting looks kind of shaky in this one - some scenes look OK and some just look downright embarrassing. Then again, he might have been directed to act that way, and therein lies the problem.

At the very least, I hope that if they make movies of the remaining books there will be a different creative team behind them (like what happened with the HP movies) and Meyer will be less involved.

I HOPE I don't have to say "I told you so!" with this one, but right now I'm still thinking that I will...
